The 3rd release from Symphonic Metal band AESMA DAEVA. USA's answer to THERION. This could be very well be the 1st metal band of this kind to come out of the US. This band was formed back in 1998 by guitarist John Prassas. Led by the operatic angelic vocals of Lori Lewis replacing former vocalist Melissa Ferlaak. This style of metal is definitely not gonna be for all metal heads, but if your open to some classical music with operatic vocals and with metal playing mixed in it would be worth a listen to a unique kind of metal music. Produced by grammy award winner Neil Kernon. Majority of the songs are heavy on the symphonic side but with there is some heavy guitar riffing even headbanging moments on tracks like HYMN TO THE SUN and the heaviest track SINCE THE MACHINE. The band is not at a loss for musical talent and song writing ability. This is definitely something worth giving a listen as its safe to say its not like most metal style of music you have listened too. They are on tour in North America in October-November with THERION, 2 bands that will fit well together on the same bill so go check them out.
